The following summary of tiger seizures for the period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2013 was compiled by Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV), in order to ensure that accurate data for Vietnam is made available for use in addressing tiger trade enforcement issues regionally.   

Last weekend, over 500 people visited our public event about the issues with rhino horn consumption (supported by Save the Rhino International), at Vincom Mega Mall Royal City.    

This week, ENV launched a new viral campaign, featuring a poster with the message “I support the protection of wildlife in Vietnam, let’s say NO to bear bile and any bear products”.    

Last Saturday, Our “Green team” had a busy day holding a public event at Big C, one of the largest shopping centers in Hanoi, in order to raise the public’s awareness about the wildlife trade.  

Last Thursday, a policeman who had attended an ENV training course many years ago put what he had learnt into practice; on seeing a bear and a gibbon being kept in a farm near Hanoi, he sent photographs and details of the case to ENV.  

Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) has released its latest public service announcement (PSA), aimed at motivating the public to protect Vietnam’s few remaining tigers by stopping the use of tiger bone as a form of traditional medicine.
