Today a Vietnamese National Assembly member, a journalist, an actor and a senior environmental police officer will fly to South Africa for a ten-day study tour on the illegal rhino horn trade.
During the trip, these well-known and influential delegates will directly observe the impacts of the international trade in South Africa, the world’s main source country for illegal rhino horn. They will visit Kruger National Park to learn about the threats faced by the world’s remaining rhinos and meet with experts from the Rhinose Foundation.
On returning to Vietnam, the delegates will appear at a special press conference on Friday, September 20 ahead of World Rhino Day, which falls two days later on September 22.
