Recognizing that the lead up to the Lunar New Year holiday period is often the time when wildlife trade increases rapidly as such products are used as gifts and for special meals, ENV continues to work hard to raise awareness of wildlife crimes.
On Thursday and Friday, we displayed five wildlife information stands in the offices and at the entrances of District and Provincal Customs in Hanoi, which brings the total number of information boards set up in such locations to 35. ENV has now successfully implemented this program in eight provinces all over Vietnam, focusing on areas where wildlife trade is either currently particularly prevalent, or is suspected to be a prominent wildlife consumption and trade area the future.
