Making the most of the good weather, ENV headed to the tourist location of Ao Vua to raise awareness about the issues with bear farming.
The area, not far from Hanoi and a popular weekend getaway for many Vietnamese people, was very busy this weekend and around 500 people took time out from playing in the pools and waterfalls to learn about bear farming and were motivated to pledge not to consume bear bile. Furthermore, we were warmly welcomed by many local souvenir shop owners, who still remember ENV’s Bear Team, despite the fact that our last exhibit in the area was back in 2012. A great day had by all!
