The day-long course also provided ENV with the opportunity to brief police officers on the support ENV can offer law enforcement agencies in the fight against wildlife crime, including passing on information received by our hotline, sharing data from investigations into major criminal networks and wildlife farms, and aiding in the identification of species. ENV also sought to stress the importance of public participation in combatting wildlife crime through the reporting and provision of information, citing examples of recent major enforcement successes which resulted from cooperation with the public.

This training course was supported by ENV in partnership with the Humane Society International of Australia (HSI).
