It is reported on baohaiquan.vn that yesterday local police in Ha Long City exposed a major wildlife trafficking case. Thanks to information from citizens, they intercepted a suspicious car running from Ha Long City to Mong Cai City and found 124 live pangolins inside.
The trafficker was arrested and all the animals were confiscated for further investigation. This case highlights the important role that information from the general public plays in the battle against wildlife smuggling and the fight for the protection of biological diversity.
