Online advertisements for wildlife products are still a major problem, and so ENV has been conducting an Internet research campaign with the aim of removing these adverts and stopping this illegal activity.
After 11 days of hard work from the 18th of November, ENV obtained shocking results: there are 1144 links posted on 214 websites and forums, which contain wildlife advertisements by 724 different vendors. We will now work with the administrators and moderators of these sites to remove all these links, and report major violations to the authorities. We also hope to launch the Wildlife Safety Zone on at least 10 websites and forums, to prohibit any wildlife advertising activities on these sites.
