Da Nang university students join our Wildlife Protection Network

Yesterday, more than 200 freshman students at the Da Nang University of Education enthusiastically joined a hot discussion session on wildlife consumption in Vietnam.

To stir up the conversation, we divided students into two teams and many sharp arguments were put forward as part of a debate entitled “Should be wildlife farming legalized? Should people use wildlife to treat illness?” After the session, more than 20 students volunteered to join ENV’s Wildlife Protection Network and took part in skills training sessions on wildlife identification and monitoring.

Tonight, our team in Hanoi will also host a wildlife trade exhibit and discussion session at the Hanoi National University of Education, at which journalist Doan Hoang (a delegate from the recent South Africa trip) will share his experiences from the visit.
