Early on the morning of July 8, a fisherman caught a rare seal in the Da Nang Sea.

The seal, which is strictly protected under Vietnamese law, weighed 30 kilograms and was 80 centimeters long. The fisherman immediately transferred the animal to Da Nang’s Border Police and the seal was released back into the sea only four hours later.
This is the fifth time this type of seal, which usually inhabits colder waters, has been caught in the seas of Vietnam.
The swift action of this fisherman and the Da Nang Border Police offers an excellent example for others to follow.
