Following in the footsteps of ENV’s Hanoi crew, the Ho Chi Minh City team hosted a wildlife trade exhibit in Hoang Van Thu Park yesterday.
More than 50 people joined the event to answer a quiz and share their opinions. Here are some ideas from the participants about the use of tiger bone glue as a medicine:
“Most of people think tiger bone glue is a magical medicine. But it is the opposite for me. I will convince my family not to believe in nonsensical things that herbalists say”, wrote Nguyễn Văn Dũng, male, 34 years old.
“Consuming tiger bone glue is illegal. Its effects have not been proven. We should bring patients to hospitals for scientific treatment,” shared Trần Thị Tuyết Ngân, female, 20 years old.
“I will advise my relatives to improve their health through doing morning exercises, have a good diet, and using modern treatments to heal the pain,” stated Nguyễn Đình Khoa, male, 37 years old.
ENV is pleased after a week of successful exhibits in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and will continue to host public education events to shape popular opinion and prevent the consumption of wildlife products.
