Vietnamese news on dantri.com.vn reports that three days ago, Vietnamese authorities exposed a major elephant tusk trafficking case at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi).
Drawing on intelligence, they checked four suspicious parcels on a flight from Singapore to Vietnam and found nearly 200 kilos of elephant tusks and ivory products, which were subsequently confiscated. According to the article, the illegal packages were first trafficked from Mozambique to Singapore, and then to Vietnam. Again, we can see the positive efforts and successes of Vietnamese law enforcement agencies in tackling the high level of international wildlife trade crimes at a busy time of the year.
