Accompanying Decree 160 on the protection of endangered species in Vietnam, Decree 179/2013/ND-CP on the regulations for penalties for violations against environmental protection, was issued by the Government. The key development in this new legislation is that now not only traders, but also people who possess endangered wildlife products prioritized for protection, will be fined.
