Ho Chi Minh City police uncover illegal wildlife trading network

Vietnamese news on cand.com.vn reports today that two men were caught red-handed trading a 13 kilogram bear skeleton last week. After being interrogated by the police, the buyer admitted to having ordered the skeleton from a seller in District 12 at a price of 45 million Vietnamese dong.

Local authorities then searched the houses of both the buyer and the seller, where they discovered many animals. The seller had already fled his house by the time police arrived. All animals were confiscated and today both the buyer and the delivery man were prosecuted for their crimes. The police are continuing to pursue the seller.
