On May 29th and June 4th, with the help of the enthusiastic volunteers, ENV continued the telephone campaign targeting bear farm owners in Vietnam. We made more than 200 phone calls to bear farm owners all over the country to collect new statistic of captive bears, and to send a message owners persuading them to give up the illegal bear bile business.
After each telephone campaign, ENV sees that there is still hope for the bears in Vietnam, as there are more bear farm owners volunteering to surrender bears, or claiming that they do not own bears anymore.
